While staying at our hotel in San Francisco, one particularly friendly valet persistently tried to coerce us into visiting the Palace of Fine Arts, located in the Marina District. Finally, towards the end of our trip, we did manage to stop down to get a few shots.
Apparently (and by apparently, I of course mean according to Wikipedia), The Palace of Fine Arts was built for the Worlds Fair in 1915. The dome you see in these pictures is the last remaining of the eight that originally graced the site.

I love the illuminated night shots, these are stunning.

Great stuff–this reminds me of Greece, a very nice feel to it. Great ability demonstrated by DSLR to capture night images. I say we get a drumstick and go in search of fallen and wayward goddesses.

Has the e-man seen these? I have a feeling he will never forget sneaking around with you ‘after hours’ to get these. Just as Aidan will never remember that he sat in the car, too tired and crabby to move. Love this series… I’ll remember it for that.
