The new school year started already today. The boys weren't too excited, but handled it well. As it turns out, they both like their teachers and seating arrangements.

The Diana+ is one of the recent lomo cameras in a similar vein to the Holga line. Based on the Diana toy camera from the 1960's, the "+" equals a few improvements, including the pinhole option which is available by removing the lens entirely. It shoots medium format film, and draws some really neat images.
These three images are some of my favorite black & whites so far. The first two are from a photo walk in downtown Portland, OR.

Obama Town Hall Meeting, Aberdeen, SD. If you follow me on Flickr, you've seen these, but I thought I better post them over here too, because I really like the way they turned out. I took these on a Leica M8, a fantastically expensive camera that I happened to be test driving over that weekend. It was really fun to use, but it's really difficult to justify the price point.

Angie's sister had her baby this past week. Lincoln Michael Turner. Great name, beautiful baby. We got the opportunity to go up to Minneapolis and visit while they were still in the hospital, bringing Lincoln's older siblings along for the ride.
It was a great trip. Congratulations to the Turners on the new arrival.
