I drove east of Sioux Falls to take some pictures of the Christopherson Centennial Homestead (top photo), a farmhouse built in the 1870’s. What followed was a meandering trip that included being chased by a pissed off farm dog and being doused by a defecating songbird.
Good times.
I did manage to get some shots, including one of a more modern subject for perspective. More from this shoot on Flickr.

Beautiful shot. I really like old buildings like that.

Thanks a lot. Pretty amazing texture in that old cracking paint.

Awesome!! I’ve always wanted to photograph old houses around Wisconsin but am probably too chicken sh*t to actually do it. Sunsets are much easier
Can’t wait to see what else you’re going to post…
(there’s more, right? RIGHT?!!!)

sopheava, as long as you don’t hear any banjo music, you should be in the clear.
There’s more from this shoot on flickr, actually. I’ll get that linked in. As for other stuff, there’s definitely more coming. I was hoping to go shoot last night, but got tied up trying to hammer FeedBurner into submission.
Maybe tonight!
