A PORTLAND NIGHT AT 24MM
Photographs by Stefan Hartwig

While I have access to a pretty sweet depth of lenses (thanks Angie), I find I use the 24mm prime most often. Huge landscapes, entire street scenes, massive depth.
Working at 24mm has it’s drawbacks, specifically the difficulty framing a simple composition and controlling the background, but when it works, it works.
These night shots from Portland are all 24mm, and they’re among my favorite shots from the trip. I hope you like them, and as always, thanks for visiting.

I like them a lot.
They get you in touch with urban life, hugely!
I think you are really smart because you reach the core of the contexts.
